17 May 2022 Chart level scripting Share this message Chart level scripting is a powerful feature that allows you to modify the dynamic dataset behind a chart using a subset of the Qlik scripting language, with techniques such as variables and loops. You can add or modify rows and columns that were not in the original dataset. This allows for calculations in chart expressions that were previously not possible, such as simulations or goal-seeking. Using chart level scripting in visualizations Chart level scripting Catalog connectors for Application Automation New functionality in the Qlik Cloud connector allows interaction with Qlik Cloud data assets, sets, and stores. In addition, a new Qlik Catalog connector allows the creation of automated workflows that use the metadata stored in Qlik Catalog (on-premises). As a result, you can now create workflows that synchronize metadata between various catalogs for data stewardship. Application Automation connectors Not supported in Qlik Cloud Government. New templates for Application Automation Two new templates are available to import master items from or export master items to a Microsoft Excel file. Import master items from an Excel Sheet—read master dimensions, measures, and variables from a Microsoft Excel file and import them into a Qlik Sense app. Export master items to an Excel Sheet—read master dimensions, measures, and variables from a Qlik Sense app and export them to a Microsoft Excel file.
