Know what’s happening in your Qlik Cloud environment with CloudScan

Bitmetric CloudScan for Qlik automatically checks your Qlik Cloud environment across dozens of areas related to health, capacity, reliability, governance, security, and configuration. This reveals anomalies and risks before they develop into operational incidents. We continually turn new insights from support, consulting, and management into new checks.

A Qlik Cloud environment may appear to be working perfectly well, even when there are already signs that something needs attention.

For example:

  • Reloads or automations that regularly fail but succeed again in between
  • A Data Gateway that is nearing the end of support
  • Apps, spaces, or automations that are still assigned to inactive users
  • Usage that is quietly approaching a limit
  • Permissions granted outside the agreed access process

When caught early, issues like these are often easy to resolve. If left unaddressed, they can develop into real problems at the worst possible time.

Bitmetric CloudScan for Qlik is a proactive, automated daily health check for your Qlik Cloud tenant.

Every day, CloudScan checks your environment across dozens of areas. We look not only at issues that require immediate attention, but also at signs of emerging problems. This allows you to act before an issue develops into an operational incident. We report critical findings immediately. You also receive a complete overview periodically, so you can keep track of issues that are not yet urgent.

CloudScan is not an operational alerting tool. Its purpose is not to flag every incident as it occurs, but to take a broader view of your tenant’s health, capacity, reliability, security, governance, and configuration.

The checks continue to evolve. Wherever possible, we turn what our consultants encounter in customer support, projects, and audits into new checks. These are then automatically added to CloudScan for all relevant customers.

CloudScan assesses the health and manageability of your Qlik Cloud environment from several perspectives. From platform and capacity to security, reliability, users, and configuration.

Gateways, identity providers, and email configuration.

Licenses, Analyzer Capacity, data volume, app RAM, and other usage.

Reloads and automations that frequently fail, never run, or have been disabled by Qlik.

Admin permissions, direct assignments, access requests, and API keys.

Inactive owners, expired invitations, and accounts that have not been cleaned up.

Moved apps, modified scripts, deprecated reload tasks, and other anomalies.

Use of deprecated objects, email errors, and rate-limit events.

CloudScan brings the results together in a single overview. Each check receives a clear status, so you can quickly see what is working well, what deserves attention, and where action is truly needed.

This means you see not only that something is going on, but also where it is happening, what the issue is, and how urgent it is.

You do not have to sign up for a CloudScan subscription immediately. We can start by running CloudScan once, free of charge, on one Qlik Cloud tenant.

We review the key results and findings together with you. Afterwards, you receive the full report, including details for each check.

This gives you an immediate view of what CloudScan finds in your environment and whether anything requires attention.

CloudScan checks your tenant daily on more than 50 points. We report critical findings immediately, and you receive the full report periodically.

No setup fees. Cancel monthly.

CloudScan grew out of our day-to-day work with Qlik Cloud. In support, consulting, migrations, and audits, we continually encounter situations that are better identified before they become a problem.

That knowledge is not limited to a single customer. When we identify a pattern with broader relevance, we turn it into a new CloudScan check wherever possible. This way, every customer benefits from what we learn elsewhere.

If CloudScan finds something, we can also help with the next step, from Qlik Support and Qlik Consulting to managing your Qlik subscriptions.

CloudScan checks your Qlik Cloud tenant daily on more than 50 points covering areas such as health, capacity, reliability, security, users, configuration, and usage.

The checks are continuously expanded based on what our consultants encounter in support, consulting, projects, and audits.

No. CloudScan is not an operational monitoring solution designed to detect every incident immediately.

Instead, CloudScan looks for signals, anomalies, and risks that could lead to operational incidents later, allowing you to intervene before they occur.

No. CloudScan tailors the checks to the tenant’s configuration and subscription.

If certain functionality is unavailable, or if you use a capacity-based subscription rather than a user-based subscription, for example, only the relevant checks are performed.

CloudScan reports what it found and how urgent it is. You can then follow up on the findings yourself.

Would you like Bitmetric to review the findings with you or help with follow-up? This can be arranged separately through Qlik Consulting or our Qlik Support.

For €125 per month per Qlik Cloud tenant, we ensure that the relevant CloudScan checks are performed daily. We report critical findings immediately, and you receive the full report periodically.

Consulting, support, and follow-up on findings are not included.

No. CloudScan performs checks and reports the findings. CloudScan does not make any changes to your Qlik Cloud tenant.

CloudScan is not directly accessible over the internet and runs in a secure environment managed by Bitmetric.

Technical access to your tenant is required to run CloudScan. After you submit your request, we explain what access is needed and how to configure it securely.

The access is used only to perform the CloudScan checks and not for any other purpose.

Yes. We’ll run CloudScan once, free of charge, on one Qlik Cloud tenant.

We review the results in advance, then go through the key findings with you, and you receive the full report, including the details for each check.
