16 November 2022 What’s new in Qlik Sense November 2022 Share this message This Qlik Sense November 2022 release summarizes the features and enhancements offered in Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows for corporate users, analytic developers, and data integrators. Let’s get started with what’s new in Qlik Sense in November 2022. Augmented analytics Qlik is investing extensively in the enhanced analytics features of Qlik Sense on Windows with this release. Sure, you could already use Insight Advisor to produce graphs and place them on your own sheets. However, with Insight Advisor, you can now automatically produce a comprehensive study with graphs, including entire sheets. As a user, you select the type of analysis from the available options, which include trending, comparison, period over period, year to date, and much more. You are able to choose your data with Insight Advisor’s help, and then let Insight Advisor do the rest. Visualizations and dashboards Qlik is also coming closer to the Qlik Cloud user experience with this version, updating the navigation bar in Qlik Sense and providing custom tooltips for visualization kinds without dimensions, such as KPIs.Custom Tooltips are now available for visualizations such as bar charts, bullet charts, combo charts, line charts, maps, pie charts, scatter plots, tree maps, and KPIs. With the new custom tooltip feature for the KPI visualization, you can add further information to your KPI by using derived measurements that support the measure shown in the KPI visualization. Another functionality I want to point out is the new inner and outer set expressions in set analysis. With the outer set expressions simplify the governance of your Qlik Sense apps. Because it can be very helpful when working with a lot of different master measures that are derived from a specific base master measure; to use set expressions with the base master measure. For example {<[Year] = {2022}>} [Base Master Measure] as current year and {<[Year] = {2021}>} [Base Master Measure] as last year Qlik Sense Administrators With this release, Qlik didn’t forget the back end with some wonderful added functions, such as the ability to repeat reload tasks, which is a much anticipated and most welcomed functionality to simplify administration. Another great addition is the custom banner messages; Qlik Sense administrators can now publish custom banner messages in the hub. You can use the custom banner to notify users about upcoming announcements or share important information with your users. Four types of banners are supported; standard, information, warning, and error with their specific highlight color. It is also possible to set a custom length of time for the banner to display in the hub, next to the default duration setting of 10 seconds.
