Extended monitoring for scheduled CDC tasks

In certain scenarios, a scheduled CDC task might miss one or more schedules. Reasons for this include:

  • Due to a large number of changes on the source, the previous task did not finish before the next scheduled run

  • Network issues preventing connection to the data source or target

  • Data Movement gateway for accessing the target (when it is in a VPC) is not available

To alert you to missed schedules, the data task monitor will now show the following information for scheduled CDC tasks:

  • Scheduling: The scheduling interval.

  • Time since missed schedule: The time that has elapsed since the last scheduled run. This information will only be shown if the previous run is still running or has completed, and one or more schedules were missed. If a run did not start on schedule, a warning will also be shown together with the number of missed schedules.
