The new JSON logical type will be mapped to the following data types: VARIANT on Snowflake and Databricks JSON on Google BigQuery SUPER on Amazon Redshift VARCHAR(max) on Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Synapse Analytics Additionally, all task types support manually changing data types to JSON and calling the relevant parsing functions to convert from STRING to JSON.
