Ruben Waardenburg joins Bitmetric

We’re happy to announce that as of May 1st, Ruben Waardenburg joined Bitmetric as a Business Intelligence Consultant.

“Six years ago I made the switch to Business Intelligence consultancy. Coming from the hospitality industry, I liked to work with people, but I always wanted to do more with data. The function as a BI consultant gave me the chance to experience both passions in one job. Even though it has been hard work to make a switch to a completely different industry, not a day goes by where I regret the fact that I took the leap of faith. If anything, it gave me much more perspective on following my passions and I love the fact that I learn so many new things every day. I expect that this feeling will only grow more at Bitmetric.”

Outside of his professional life, he loves sports in general, but especially tennis. He has played his whole life and loves it so much that he recently started teaching tennis in the evenings as well. Being able to share his passion and pass it on to other people brings him a lot of joy. Besides sports, he also enjoys watching sports, cooking (and eating ), and going on road trips to discover new places and cultures.

Asked why he decided to join Bitmetric, Ruben said:

“Since working as a consultant I’ve heard many good stories about Bitmetric and during last year’s Master Summit I got to meet Barry and Maarten, so when I was looking around for a new challenge, I could only think of one place to come to for advice, and that was Bitmetric. Already during the first talks I knew that this was a great match on both cultural and professional level. I was looking for a place where I could really develop myself, while being a part of a close team that shares the same enthusiasm for Qlik (and data in general). I feel like I checked all those boxes here and I am very proud and excited to be part of the Bitmetric family!”
