Validation rules now visible from the dataset overview

Validation rule results are now surfaced directly on the dataset overview, giving data producers and consumers immediate visibility into data quality issues without leaving the dataset’s front door.

What’s available

This release introduces two new additions to the dataset overview:

  • Validation rules summary section: A new section on the dataset overview displays at-a-glance metadata about the validation rules applied to the dataset, including how many rules are defined and their current pass/fail status. Users can immediately see whether all rules are returning valid values or whether failures require attention, without navigating away from the overview.
  • Validation rules tab: A dedicated tab now provides a detailed view of all validation rules applied to the dataset. For each rule, users can see the affected fields, rule logic, and current evaluation outcome, along with a clear path to drill down for deeper investigation and remediation.

Why this matters

By bringing validation rule status directly into the dataset overview, data producers and consumers can now understand quality issues in context, act earlier, and with greater confidence. This update improves explainability of the Qlik Trust Score™, shortens time-to-insight, and enables more targeted remediation, all from a single, unified entry point.
