12 June 2025 Qlik Cloud May 2025 Updates Share this message Here’s a quick rundown of the May 2025 updates in Qlik Cloud. Shared automations now live Qlik introduced the ability to manage automations in shared spaces, enabling collaboration and execution through the context of a shared space. Teams can create, organize, and manage automations in shared spaces. This setup makes it easy to control who can run, duplicate, and view, offering flexibility and security. No guessing required, just smarter insights faster. Read more Path New Direct Access Gateway A new Gateway Configuration API is now available for remote management of Qlik Data Gateway – Direct Access configurations. This API allows you to programmatically retrieve and update configuration settings, as well as restart the gateway remotely.The API is supported from version 1.7.2 of the Direct Access gateway and is available only to users with the Tenant Admin role. Read more Path Qlik Data Transfer officially deprecated If you’re currently using Qlik Data Transfer, it’s important to be aware that Qlik has announced the deprecation of this tool by Q1 2026. This means it will no longer be supported or maintained, and it’s time to start planning your transition. Qlik will provide support until April 30, 2026. To ensure a smooth transition, Qlik recommend you begin utilizing Qlik Data Gateway – Direct Access, the supported alternative. Read more Path Qlik Trust Score gets historization You can now track how your trust score evolves over time, making governance and compliance reporting easier. You need a Qlik Talend Cloud Enterprise subscription. Read more Path Streaming support for Snowpipe Previously, Bulk loading was the only method available for loading data into Snowflake. Now, customers can use either Bulk loading or Snowpipe Streaming to onboard or replicate their data to Snowflake. Read more Path Improved download access in visualizations Downloading visualizations is even faster now. Download is now an option in the hover menu in visualizations. Read more Path Renaming for clarity Qlik updated the names of two components in the Cloud offering to better reflect their functionality: Qlik Application Automation is being renamed to Qlik Automate Qlik AutoML is being renamed to Qlik Predict These changes are being rolled out as part of a phased update across the platform. You may start to see these new names in the interface over the coming weeks. During the transition, both old and new names may be visible depending on your region. Read more Path Line chart enhancements Enhancements have been made to shape creation (formerly known as plugins) for line charts. In addition to the points and lines, it’s now possible to add labels and symbols with options for size, color, and placement. Shapes are a great way to increase data literacy by proving valuable context for interpretation of the chart. Read more Path Glossary now importable/exportable Business glossaries are most often managed in shared spreadsheets with terms and definitions. With this release, you can now import these glossaries into Qlik Cloud using that xlsx or csv file. Additionally, exporting your glossary in these formats is an option, adding to the existing import/export formats of Qlik, Atlas, and Atlan which are JSON based.
