Qlik Cloud July 2025 Updates

As always, Qlik has rolled out another round of exciting updates this July. In this post, we’ll walk you through the highlights and what they mean for your daily work with Qlik.

· Qlik Analytics Migration Tool (QAMT)

· New Qlik web connectors

· Support for changing Direct Access gateway settings in the Administration activity center

· Rollover and purging of replication log files

· Introducing new capabilities for the Qlik Predict connector in Qlik Automate

· Include and reuse editable scripts

· Updates to Qlik Predict connectors

Qlik introduced the Qlik Analytics Migration Tool (QAMT) to help users migrate from QlikView, Qlik Sense and NPrinting to Qlik Cloud more easily. It automates the conversion of apps, scripts, and visualizations saving time and effort.

Qlik has expanded its offering of native web connectors, making it easier than ever to bring data from external web services directly into Qlik Cloud.

Some of the newly added connectors are:

· Google Ads Connector

· Google Analytics Connector

· Qlik Google Drive & Spreadsheets Connector

· Qlik JIRA Connector

Unfortunately also two connectors have been deprecated:

· Qlik AYLIEN News Connector V2

· Qlik MeaningCloud Connector

A small but powerful change: administrators can now in the direct access gateway version 1.7.6 adjust Direct Access Gateway settings directly within the Administration Activity Center. A reset when changes are applied is no longer necessary.

By default, logging is set to a standard level, which may not be detailed enough for troubleshooting. Admins have the control to changing the logging level of Data Movement gateway logs. Making detailed logs accessible for debugging.

Qlik Application Automation continues to evolve and the Qlik Predict connector just got a major upgrade. You can now generate predictions and analyze the key features that influence the predicted outcome. You can now build workflows that include predictive scoring, forecasting, or classification.

In addition to the new capabilities of the Qlik Predict connector Qlik also added other analytics connectors. The Qlik Predict connector now supports the Alias parameter, making it easier to manage and reference models.

Supported models include among others:

· OpenAI

· Google AI – Gemini

· Meta (Amazon Bedrock)

· Amazon SageMaker

🤖 For example: Make churn predictions or automatically generate explanations for KPIs or generating new chart titles based on data trends.

For developers working with complex or repetitive script logic, the ability to include and reuse editable scripts is a huge improvement. This promotes modular scripting, cleaner development workflows, and makes maintaining large codebases significantly easier.
