New Direct Access gateway version (1.7.12)

Direct Access gateway 1.7.12 introduces both new and enhanced features, and resolves several issues. For upgrade instructions and a list of resolved issues, see Upgrading the Direct Access gateway installation

This version introduces functionality to several Direct Access gateway connectors that was previously only available with the corresponding non-Direct Access gateway connectors.

• New drop-downs in the “Select data to load” dialog

  The ability to select a database, owner, role, catalog, and schema has now been added to the Data load editor > Select data to load (<connector display name>) dialog. The following connectors are affected:

  • Athena Drill (via Direct Access gateway)

    • Database and Owner drop-down lists have been added.

  • Databricks (via Direct Access gateway)

    • Catalog and Schema drop-down lists have been added.

  • Presto (via Direct Access gateway)

    • Database and Owner drop-down lists have been added.

  • Snowflake (via Direct Access gateway)

    • Role, Database, and Schema drop-down lists have been added.

• Removal of the Enable Bulk Reader option

  The Enable Bulk Reader option is enabled by default, and no longer appears in the UI. It can only be disabled using an internal property.

• Minimum TLS version

  Version 1.3 has been added to the Minimum TLS drop-down list in the following connectors:

  • Apache Drill (via Direct Access gateway)

  • Google Big Query (via Direct Access gateway)

  • Microsoft SQL Server (via Direct Access gateway)
