12 February 2026 Manual compute environment selection for applications Share this message Qlik Cloud now lets you define a minimum dedicated compute environment size for analytics applications, giving you greater control over performance for large or compute-intensive apps. While Qlik continues to automatically place applications on the best available engine, you can now override placement by setting a minimum engine size to ensure consistent CPU and memory resources when needed. This is ideal for complex visualizations, performance tuning, and critical business applications. Use the app performance evaluation tool to compare application responsiveness across engine sizes and validate whether larger engines deliver measurable performance improvements. Manual assignments consume Large app capacity and are currently supported via API. More control. Predictable performance. Enterprise-ready scalability.
